One of my dearest friends in the world Bree Despain wrote a book, and on top of that she got that book published. Yesterday her book was released and she wanted to have a little party to celebrate the day. Since she is extremely busy writing the sequel, she asked if I would handle the decorations for the dinner. I have to say that when I do events like this (which I don't do much anymore since I am so busy taking pictures of other people doing this stuff) it rarely ends up looking as good in real life as it did in my head. Last night, however, it looked just as I pictured it would. Which means it looked amazing! I felt it ended up being a real reflection on the book which is also amazing!
You must go and check out Bree's website to learn more about THE DARK DIVINE!
Since the book is purple and black we used those colors throughout. And since it is Christmas time we used mainly purple and silver Christmas balls, and tons of candles of course to set the mood.

There is a special tree in the book, so I went ahead and "built" Bree a couple of trees. Here is one of them:
I think this is the first pic of me ever to appear on the blog, but I HAD to get a pic of me along with the girl of the hour and our friend Nicole.
