NELSON FAMILY

Meet the absolutely stunning Nelson family. I met Emily when my friend entered the Mrs. Utah pageant and Emily was the reigning Mrs. Utah. I found her to be one of the most lovely and sincere people I had met in a long time, and I adored her instantly. I was honored when she asked me to take her family pictures. This photo shoot was a challenge, as getting all three adorable boys to look at me at the same time was a huge task. However, I had the greatest time, and these pictures are some of my favorites yet.

WOW

This Whimsy Floral bridal bouquet took my breath away. Everything else for this wedding was equally stunning. If I was this bride I would have been totally thrilled. I wish everyone could have seen these in real life--these flowers were perfect! I don't know very many Utah florists that make their bouquets and centerpieces with such precision that they look like they could have come out of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, while still at the same time making them look effortless and not too contrived. Hooray again Liz!

BAKER FAMILY

These two families have come together now that their parents are recently married. So it seemed a natural idea to get pictures of the newly formed family together. We took these at Memory Grove. As usual, it was beautiful there. These guys were a lot of fun, and I wish them the best as they grow together as a new family.

STELLA ONE YEAR

My baby girl turns one tomorrow so I wanted to post some of her pictures from her one year photo session. These were taken a while ago, but she hasn't changed too much since. These are from two separate shoots--one was the official one year session, and another an impromptu session with my friend Crystal.

For the official session I wanted just some tall grass so we went to a park close to our house. While I was taking the first picture, my sister (and helpful assistant) smacked me on the arm. She was saving me from a pesky mosquito. Then suddenly I was being swarmed by hungry mosquitoes out for their evening meal. We were waving our arms and screaming and trying to keep them away. Funnily enough, they wanted nothing to do with Stella, and so I continued taking pictures. However, she thought the freaking out of Mom and Auntie was HILARIOUS and she kept waving her hands around like we did while laughing super hard. She thought we were putting on a little show for her. Remarkably, I think I got out of there with not one bite, along with several adorable pictures of the cutest kid in the whole wide world.

IMPROMPTU SESSION:

With these I can't pick my favorite face. As a photographer I am usually more selective, but as a mom...I LOVE them all!
