CHRISTIE & BRYAN ENGAGEMENTS

Christie and Bryan were very fun to photograph. They have known each other for a really long time and are terribly comfortable together. Most of the time I believe they forgot I was even around. I am very much looking forward to their big day in October!

BABY LUKE

My dearest friend Krisi had her baby this morning at 12:30. (Which is actually more like night to me since I think I was just going to bed then.) I went to see her in the hospital and I took some pictures of the tiny newborn. What an angel! Congrats to the new parents!

STACIE & JJ PART III

So one of the things I love about being a photographer is the relationships you form. You need to be able to get to know people pretty fast AND well if you are going to make them look comfortable in their pictures. It was very easy with this family they were all so open and welcoming it was really a treat to share the day with them. I had taken Stacie's bridals so I knew her a bit, but I had just met JJ the second he came out of the temple. Since I barley knew them both I didn't expect to get all emotional at their wedding dinner during all of the toasts. It was a surprise to me, and a real testament to the love all of these family and friends had for this couple. And of course how much love Stacie and JJ share. Ok, I love weddings, and I cry at them...what can I say?

The rest of the pics are devoted the evening of wild dancing that occured at this dinner. I have been to a lot of weddings where dancing was the plan, but no real dancing happend. (Mine being one of them.) So here is my wedding planner advice to get people to dance. 1-The bride (not always the groom) has to dance. 2-A live band is best, but at the very least have a good DJ. 3-Alchohol is extremly helpful. If you don't drink and want to dance re-read 1 & 2.

STACIE & JJ PART II

If you have never had the chance to be at the San Diego temple in August, let me tell you something. It is hot. Not only that, but there is very little shade. Poor Stacie and JJ were melting, but you can't tell here because deep down they were so darn happy. After a few pictures at the temple we went to the beach. A storm was coming in so at least it wasn't too hot there. The beach was totally fun, I loved taking pictures there. When you see the pic of Stacie and JJ laughing it is right after their videographer asked JJ to hold Stacie and spin around by the water. The biggest wave of the day suddenly came up and we almost lost them both. JJ's shoes were soaked and I am sure full of sand. The way they giggled about it after was a good show of their sense of humor. If they can laugh most of the time together they will have a long and happy marriage.
