BEST OF 2010

This has been a great year. I have been just busy enough to keep my hands busy and still read and read all of the books on my never ending to-read list. It is hard to pick favorite images from the year. Being rather fond of my work most of the time I have a lot of them. I found though as I searched my archives for the stand-outs I always went to the ones that made me smile at a memory that was created behind the camera while taking the picture. So I hope you don't mind that I must post several pictures.

I enjoy taking pictures of course, but by far my greatest joy comes from the relationships I make with my subjects. This is of course especially true of my Brides and Grooms. After a wedding, I am always a little sad to say goodbye, after being such a huge part of one of the most important days of their lives I can't help but feel connected to them forever. Thank you to all my couples this year. I have made some wonderful friends because you chose me to be your photographer.

Being a wedding junkie at heart, I love wedding details. Here are some of my favorites. A special thank you to Whimsy Floral for making so many of these possible.

I love family shoots, of course. You would laugh at some of the stuff I do to get little ones to look at me, but as long as I get some good shots in, it is worth all the humiliation in the world. Of course, most of my favorites are the pictures that I took while doing nothing but observing with my camera.

And last, but not in the least bit the least. My favorite subject of the year passed away a few months after I took his picture.

Thank you clients, friends, and family for all of your love an support for this year. I hope to see more of you in 2011!

THE LOST SAINT LAUNCH PARTY

Last night was the official launch party for the much anticipated sequel to The Dark Divine. The Lost Saint was released yesterday and Bree had a special reading at The King's English bookstore in Salt Lake. Being a huge fan and Bree being one my dearest friends ever I appointed myself again as official photographer for the event. I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens next to Grace Divine!
