WOW

This Whimsy Floral bridal bouquet took my breath away. Everything else for this wedding was equally stunning. If I was this bride I would have been totally thrilled. I wish everyone could have seen these in real life--these flowers were perfect! I don't know very many Utah florists that make their bouquets and centerpieces with such precision that they look like they could have come out of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, while still at the same time making them look effortless and not too contrived. Hooray again Liz!

BAKER FAMILY

These two families have come together now that their parents are recently married. So it seemed a natural idea to get pictures of the newly formed family together. We took these at Memory Grove. As usual, it was beautiful there. These guys were a lot of fun, and I wish them the best as they grow together as a new family.

STELLA ONE YEAR

My baby girl turns one tomorrow so I wanted to post some of her pictures from her one year photo session. These were taken a while ago, but she hasn't changed too much since. These are from two separate shoots--one was the official one year session, and another an impromptu session with my friend Crystal.

For the official session I wanted just some tall grass so we went to a park close to our house. While I was taking the first picture, my sister (and helpful assistant) smacked me on the arm. She was saving me from a pesky mosquito. Then suddenly I was being swarmed by hungry mosquitoes out for their evening meal. We were waving our arms and screaming and trying to keep them away. Funnily enough, they wanted nothing to do with Stella, and so I continued taking pictures. However, she thought the freaking out of Mom and Auntie was HILARIOUS and she kept waving her hands around like we did while laughing super hard. She thought we were putting on a little show for her. Remarkably, I think I got out of there with not one bite, along with several adorable pictures of the cutest kid in the whole wide world.

IMPROMPTU SESSION:

With these I can't pick my favorite face. As a photographer I am usually more selective, but as a mom...I LOVE them all!

VALERIE & JOHN

This is my brother- and sister-in-law. We have been plotting this photo shoot for months and finally settled on a day. These two live in Logan so when it was pouring horrendous rain Saturday afternoon, I thought we were toast. But in keeping with the constant crazy weather lately, the sun came out again. We took these up at Park City (a lot of driving for these two), which has an amazing wealth of photo opportunities. If it hadn't eventually gotten dark I could easily have taken another 100 shots or so. I loved it. Here are some of my choice favorites from the evening.

TOMMY

This little charmer is Tommy, and he is certainly one happy little guy. The best part of the shoot (for me) was hearing Mom and Dad jump up and down and yell: "Tommy, Tommers, etc..." behind me as I took his pictures. Oh, the things that parents will do to get their babies to smile in pictures. Well it was worth it because he looks pretty happy in these. By the way, I picked out these accessories at my dad's antique store. Yet another plus of having me take your pictures--I have access to loads of cool stuff to make a photo shoot even more fun.
